I began my education at Carnegie Mellon University as a mechanical engineer but I realized very quickly that my true passion was in design and creating products that would improve a persons livelihood. I continued my education by completing my Masters in Product Development (now know as the Masters of Integrated Innovation for Products and Services) also at Carnegie Mellon University.

Over the past 12 years, I have had the privilege of being part of multiple talented, global, cross-functional teams that have created innovative, physical and digital products for the safety and energy industries.  A few of the user groups that I have designed for include fire fighters, construction workers, oil & gas facilities/personnel, data center managers, sports stadium facility owners, building management personnel, and aircraft maintenance personnel. I have also had the opportunity to lead design teams to create incredible digital experiences for websites, mobile applications, and embedded products.

In my most current role, I lead a global design consultancy within Eaton serving multiple product teams within the enterprise. While managing between 25-30 active projects at a given time, I am responsible for the day-to-day operations, hiring, mentoring, strategy, and growth of the design practice within Eaton. I lead an incredible team of designers and developers who are also responsible for designing and creating the digital design system for all software applications across the enterprise.  With the increasing adoption of design thinking, I have the unique opportunity of training the organization through facilitating Design Thinking workshops, holding innovation sessions around IoT, working with Executive Leadership to improve the culture, and create an end-to-end process for building new product strategy and innovation.
